Remake ? Yes or no ?

What are your views on a updated Remake of Final Fantasy VII ?

Do you believe that a remake would be great and amazing for the Video game
Or do you believe that would be a bad idea and would ruin everything for the fans ?

I think it will be really good, but only if they stick to the original plot/personalities/character motivations etc.

If they go and change tons of things, it will suck, but if they basically replicate the game exactly but with better graphics, well, theres no way that can be bad.

I have it from a *somewhat* reliable source that a PS3 remake is int he works, a carbon copy of the orginal game but with updated graphics and remastered soundtrack.

I doubt it
Final Fantasy are picky, they tend to only make a game for one platform.

@MM: If you still hold to this, you are uninformed. All of the FF's below 10 have had PC versions that have come out some time after their console release. Also FFXIII has an xbox360 release OTZ

To answer you question Mandie - I doubt it highly, at least not for a long time. Most current PCs/graphics cards would not be able to render PS3 level graphics smoothly unless it was a full natuve port (which most aren't). Even then, system reqs would be HUUUGE.
