This is very tough between FF8 and FF9. F8 was brilliant, but I like 9 so much as well~

Great storyline and Great characters
It has a great story of serious and comic relief
Horrible graphics though but it kind of proves that graphics mean nothing and teaches you that storyline and character development are the most important recipes within a good video game..

7 is my favorite.

I know it's very overrated, and I don't think it's the most amazingly brilliant legendary rpg ever created, but it's the one I enjoyed the most. So there~ <3
I like 8 a lot too. But I've yet to get very far in that due to lack of patience and constantly lending the game to other people. ^^;
